Diary of an amateur traveler, Chapter Sikkim



The train pulled up at New Jalpaiguri station on a chilled autumn morning, the sun, yet to rise but the surrounding hue promised its arrival soon. The relatively vacant train station and the shops slowly opening for its daily business, overall a significant figure that was symbolizing my own character that was getting ready, slowly and steadily to experience my trip to the land known as that “Goodly region”, Sikkim.

My stay was to be a 6 day tour to that consisted of 3 days in Pelling situated in West Sikkim and 2 days in Ravangla (pronounced Rabong locally) situated in South Sikkim…
